Vid: New glasses allow blind soldier to 'see' with his tongu

A soldier blinded in battle has become the first member of the armed forces to test a special pair of glasses which allow him to 'see' using his tongue.

Lance Corporal Craig Lundberg, who was blinded in a grenade attack in Basra, is trying the glasses which turn pictures into electrical impulses that are felt on the tongue.

The different sensations mean he can distinguish between light and dark and negotiate his way around objects.

Probably a lot of training went into that.
Just like learning blind ppl to read the bumpy writing (braille?)

Yeah it's braille. Braille seems a lot easier than this.

This is a lot better tho.

I remember that I was in more, in the Colosseum and there at the top you have a nice view over the Forum Romanum and the sign had Braille on it -_-
"Do if you look to your right you'll see the pantheon" Really handy for a blind person ._.
